Pengaruh Media Massa Terhadap Penampilan Akhlak Pelajar Islam Politeknik Malaysia

This study aims to identify the level of media exposure among polytechnic student, and their mass media programs of interest. Also the aim of this study is to identify relationship between media exposure, and the lifestyle of muslim students in the polytechnics. This study was carried out quantitatively among 397 students at selected polytechnics in Malaysia. The questionnaires data were analyzed descriptively and inferentially using the Statistical Package For Social Science (SPSS) version 18.0. The descriptive data analysis found that the exposure of students to the website is average (mean=3.41), while the level of entertainment is high (mean=4.05). This study also found that the relationship between the level of media exposure and Muslim students is weak (r=0.274). This finding also reported that the students were affected by the mass media. Hence, the implication of this study indicates that the students particularly should choose the appropriate programs and manage their time effectively while utilising the mass media.
