Abstract :
This study has been carried out to determine the importance of “Play, Dance and Music” course being instructed in the seventh term at Faculties of Education, Departments of Fine Arts Education, Departments of Teaching of Music, in terms of teaching music in our country. The interviews done consist of the subjects such as acquisitions from the course, the methods, evaluations, problems faced during the course, tools being used, giving assignments. The results of the interviews have been scripted and the findings have been studied by the method of content analysis. As a result of this research, it has been found out that the music courses should be carried out by the field experts and it has been observed that the ability of coordinating and performing creative activities are acquired at the end of the course, different musical instruments are played during the course, the course consists of a lot of practice and theory.In the direction of these findings, it is concluded that a common teaching program should bedeveloped and the need for experts in this field has to be met in a short time.
