  • Abstract
In this study, an achievement test about solutions and their physical properties was developed. Science education professors were consulted to determine the level of coherence between each item’s goal of measuring outcome and Bloom’s revised cognitive taxonomy levels. In the second stage of the study, the test which consisted of 31 items was applied to 160 students from the department of secondary science and mathematics education/chemistry education and department of elementary science education, Kazim Karabekir Education Faculty, Ataturk University. Items analyses were calculated for the test. Based on the data, average test difficulty index and test-discrimination index were calculated as 0.41 and 0.40, respectively. Test reliability (KR20) was determined as 0.77, as well. Based on the results, it was concluded that the test was a well constructed test regarding both its difficulty and discriminate indexes.
