Abstract :
The aim of this article is to explore the principles of teaching Turkish words to foreigners by means of using visual and auditory aids and related materials. With the development of educational tools in teaching foreign languages the audio-visual methods are newly being developed. In this article both traditional and new teaching methods are examined and new finding are studied under certain headings in order to teach Turkish vocabulary to foreign students effectively. The techniques and materials studied in this article can be used to develop and produce audio-visual aids in teaching Turkish vocabulary to foreigners.
