DEVOLOPING AN ACHIEVEMENT TEST FOR ATMOSPHERE AND CLIMATE UNIT OF NATUREL SYSTEMS ON SECONDARY EDUCATION GEOGRAPHY LESSON

The aim of this research is to develop a scale for measuring student achievement aboutNatural Systems in the subject of “Atmosphere and Climate” Unit. The attitudes a goal aboutNatural Systems in the subject of “Atmosphere and Climate” Unit that is in MEB T.T.K.Administration’s Geography Programme in the year of 2005, are considered. Caring these goalattitudes they made 5 altenativeal multiple choices, scanning the test in the ideas of an expertsome questions are corrected. In this way a 50 items model scale is prepared about the subjectof “Atmosphere and Climate”.This model application is tried upon including seven 9th graduate and 257 students-a highschool, a superior high school and anotolian high school. Then, they analysed the items in theknowledge of the datums. In analysing the items, each items discriminate and difficulty indexare calculated. The items that have 20 discriminate index are taken away from the test. In thisway 18 items aren’t decided to be valid and reability, so they are taken away from the test. Therealibity coefficient about the rest 30 items is calculated as 91.
