Abstract :
The purpose of this study was to investigate the psychological hardiness levels of primaryschool teachers according to their some demographic variables. A total of 347 teachersemployed in the primary schools in Ankara participated in the study. ‘Personal Views SurveyIII-R’ was used to determine teachers’ psychological hardiness. Independent Samples t-Test andPearson Product-Moment Correlation Coefficient were performed to analyze the data. Resultsrevealed that the total scores of teachers’ psychological hardiness did not vary depending ontheir variables of gender and branch. However, psychological hardiness was not significantlyrelated to both age and years of experience. These findings give rise to the need for furtherresearch contributing to the relationships of teacher hardiness to both different personal andorganizational variables as well as personality characteristics.
