Abstract :
The main purpose of this study is to determine to what extent public school principals behavein accordance with the code of ethics. Within this purpose, the perceptions of elementary schoolprincipals, teachers and supervisors are examined. As a total of 696 participants, including559 teachers, 106 supervisors and 31 school principals participated in the study. The resultsof the study showed that school principals were found to behave in accordance with the codeof ethics as perceived by teachers and principals. Supervisors perceived that school principalsbehave in accordance with only the code of ethics related to respect factor. They didn’t agreethat principals behave in accordance with the code of ethics related to tolerance, justice,responsibility, honesty and democracy factors. Unlike their senior colleagues, novice teachersand supervisors were found to perceive that school administrators behave more strongly inaccordance with the code of ethics.
