Eksplorasi Flora dan Fauna Adalah Ekspresi Jiwa Raga Wanita: Satu Bacaan EcoFeminism Berdasarkan Karya-Karya Terpilih

One of the ways how female soul is represented is with manipulation of the natural environment’s flora and fauna as a representative of writers thought and emotion that is displayed through writings. Hence this discussion will be divided into three objectives, (a) to comprehend the concept of ecofeminism and the relevance that formed between flora and fauna with the concept of feminism itself, (b) to identify the flora and fauna’s elements that are used by the authors in an effort to explore female soulful aspect and (c) to analyse and compare the selected writers thoughts about women lives through flora and fauna. To consolidate this discussion, ecofeminism, a term coined by Francoise d’ Eaubonne in 1974 will be used to see how far the effectiveness of female soulful expression relevant to these selected texts. This method explains that social mentality is one of the main causes of domination and oppression by impilicit and explicit aspects that display the abuse of environment. In this case its collaterally bringing a meaning that the relationship between destruction of nature by humans similar to the environment damages as oppression of women by men. To complement this essay, selected short stories and novels are used that are appropriate with objective of this study.
