Abstract :
This study is aimed at investigating the level of emotional stress and the main factors that cause emotional stress among special education teachers in integrated classes. A total of 100 special education teachers jrom 14 schools in the district of Bandar Baharu Kulim were involved in the study. Questionnaires were used to collect data on the level of emotional stress for special education teachers either low, medium or high. In addition, the questionnaire also contains constructs that contributed to emotional stress among special education teachers. The data were analyzed using SPSS software and have been presented in frequencies, percentages, means and standard deviation. The finding shows that emotional stress of the special education teachers were at moderate level. Most of the teachers agreed that they have negative thoughts and feelings as a result of prolonged stress problems that occur in schools. This situation reflects that the teaching profession is becoming more challenging.
