Abstract :
Overweight and obesity are defined as abnormal or excessive fat accumulation that may impair health. Overweight is a body mass index (BMI) greater than or equal to 25 while obesity is a BMI greater than or equal to 30. Body Mass Index (BMI) is a person s weight in kilograms divided by the square of height in meters. Morbid obesity is defined as having a body mass index (BMI) of 40 or above or having a BMI of 35 or above with comorbids which can be improved by weight loss such as type 2 diabetes or hypertension.
