Abstract :
Horsemen-warrior Scythian civilization, which dominated a large geographical area from the Eastern Turkistan to Europe for about 10 centuries in the ancient history, is very significant for the history of the world and the Turks. “Horsemen-archers that wear trousers” had permanent impressions on the vast geography they ruled; they demonstrated their unique “Central Asian” characteristics perfectly in many fields from war tactics to works of art. Many Scythian works of art that depict trousers, undoubtedly invented by Turkic tribes in order to facilitate riding horses, and the warriors wearing them have reached all the way up to now. Unique coins, which are unfortunately represented with very few samples, should be added to the examples. However, these samples of coins have not received the attention they deserved; the subject has been guided to different fields due to wrong identification and naming except few rational numismaticts. The purpose of this article is to redefine and publicize unique silver coin type, which has been one of the oldest samples of the “Bow carrying Scythian=Turk warrior wearing trouser and felt cone” coins, which is the very basic characteristic of this great civilization, and has been the victim of wrong identification.
