Abstract :
It is an indisputable truth from now on that Turkish palace architecture was in interaction with structural properties of houses at most and that it played an influential role on house schemes in the source of structural designs. At the same time, different applications of traditional house schemes are encountered in plans and forms of many Turkish places which are sultans’ and executives’ residential houses. Sheki Khan Palace, one of the monumental works of Azerbaijan Khanates period (until mid XVIII century), as one of the examples reflecting this character best, draws attention with its features forming the prototype of the houses until early XX century. The palace, which reflects its property on mansions, is decorated with mural paintings depending on the same tradition with unique property and which spread during the era of westernization of the Ottoman.
