Abstract :
The purpose of this study is to identify the factors that influence the students having and using credit cards and their attitudes towards them. It was analyzed with X² test that there is a relationship between students use / ownership of credit cards and some of their demographic and socio- economic characteristics. The attitude of the students towards the credit cards was sized with the help of Factor Analysis and their attitude differences were determined with Mann-Whitney U test and Kruskal - Wallis H test. At the end of the study it was determined that the relationship between the students sex and card ownership and the programs they were enrolled was meaningful. It was also found that the students credit card use varied according to the state grants and programs in which they were registered. It was also determined that their income and the use of credit cards were very effective in the students attitudes towards using credit cards.
