Abstract
Disposal of radioactive materials requires identification of the permissible radionuclide and its inventory limits. This paper addresses the study of some parameters to specify radioactive wastes, which are buried in repository by assessing; 1) the sensitivity of these parameters on the dose received by individual through water ingestion pathway, and 2) approach to evaluate the effect of these specific parameters on the safety of disposal site. Activity, halflife, travel time and dose conversion factor are the selected parameters for this study. Using simple sensitivity method, the effect of these parameters on a human dose shows higher sensitivity index. Additionally, safety of repository in respect to the decay time and activity of radionuclides are evaluated.
