Abstract :
Hyperakalemia is a common clinical and potentially life threatening metabolic problem that can induce deadly cardiac arrhythmias. It is caused by inability of the kidney to excrete potassium and/or impairment of the mechanisms that shift potassium from the circulation into the cells.
