Examination of the Competencies of Pre-Service Teachers in Terms of Some Variables

The aim of this research is to examine the competencies of pre-service teachers in terms of some variables. 642 pre-service teachers getting education at social sciences, primary school and science teaching departments of Education Faculty at Nigde University during 2010-2011 educational terms compose the study group of this research designed by survey model. “Basic Technology Competencies Scale for Educators Inventory” developed by Flowers Algozzine at 2000 and adapted to Turkish by Tekinarslan (2008) has been used as instrument for gathering data. According to findings, significantly differences between pre-service teachers in terms of gender, grade, department, aim of using computer and internet, frequency of using internet and the ownership the personal computer and network have been examined.
