Abstract :
The purpose of this study is to determine the issues and the solutions regarding the 9th grade curriculum put into place since 2005-2006 school-year. Eight math teachers from different schools in Erzurum participated in this study. One of the quantitative methods, case-study, was used for this study. The data for this study was acquired by classroom observations and semi-structured interviews. Descriptive and content analysis was used to process the collected data. The study indicates that the teachers claim the 9th grade Mathematics and Geometry curriculum are overwhelming,the teachers have a hard time to conduct new educational strategies, the textbooks are not used effectively, and teachers do not receive adequate training on the curriculum. Different solutions methods have been mentioned in this study.
