Abstract :
This study focuses on the influence of Korean drama in the development of youth community in Malaysia. This study involved 120 female subjects from a school in Serdang, Selangor. Subjects aged between 13 to 17 years old and were identified as followers of Korean drama. The objectives of the study were to identify the drama genres of Korean drama favoured by the subjects and discuss the influence of the drama that affect subjects self-development. A set of questionnaire was distributed and interview session was held. Findings revealed that Korean drama gave positive impacts to the subjects self-developments. It is hoped Korean drama will implant good moral values and lessons in Malaysia youth daily life.
