Abstract :
Transportation which related to non-motorised vehicle has already existed since the 50 s. It is important to ensure life in a clean, healthy and quality environment. Motor vehicle ownership rate in Malaysia has increased every year. The rapid growth in this activity in Malaysia cities has brought in a range of adverse impacts like traffic congestion, accidents, lack of public transport as an alternative as well as carbon gas emissions (into the atmosphere) conflict have contributed to environmental pollution in terms of quality deficiencies that affect mobility of life in general. This study is aimed to examine society willingness to switch to non-motorised vehicle. Introduction of non-motorised transportation mode, particularly cycling and walking will promote healthy lifestyles and reduce carbon dioxide emissions. Logistic regression modelling techniques was used for the analysis of motorists willingness factors to switch to non-motorised vehicles. Logistic regression analysis results found that flower plants and trees that provide shade and weather protection systems such as a roof could generate the activity of non-motorised vehicles.
