LANGUAGE USAGE IN BLOG FROM THE MORPHOLOGY ASPECT

This article is a discussion of language errors of morphological aspects in blogs. Morphology is the field of language that studies the structure of word, form and classification of words. The blogs chosen were related to social community and the use of Malay language in writing. The objectives of the study were to identify the errors in the blog writing and to describe the process of word formation, especially from the aspect of augmentation of nouns, verbs, double, compound words and adjectives. The data were taken from 10 blogs; year 2011 to 2014. The data were analyzed based on the errors found in the blogs. Result shows that there were errors in the use of morphological aspect. Errors in writing cover a single word, derivatives, doubling word, and compound words. These errors thereby become a challenge to the Malay language, especially academicians who work tirelessly to uphold the Malay language. Therefore, it is important for us to conserve our language from crumbled.
