Abstract :
Video self-modeling is a subcategory of the method of teaching with video modeling, which is an evidencebased, effective teaching method. Besides for the aims of teaching new skills, gaining fluency in previously acquired skills and preventing problematic behaviors, video self-modeling practices have also been effectively used with individuals of different age and developmental disability groups. The purpose of this study is to introduce video self-modeling which is used in the training of individuals with autism spectrum disorder, to present explanations concerning its benefits, limitations, preparations and stages, and to provide recommendations for the trainers and researchers on the basis of these explanations
