Abstract :
The objective of this study is to examine the demografic factors effects the organizational stress and burnout levels of the academicians who worked in physical education and sports high school. For this purpose, a descriptive study is done and a questionnaire is implemented on academicians who worked in physical education and sports high school of government university in Turkey. Total 605 questionnaires are received for evaluation and the data is analysed in SPSS 15.0 , minitab 13.20 V and STATISTICA 7.0 programs. In the research, for the purpose of determining the personal and occupational features, organizational stress and burnout level of academicians of physical education and sports, the frequency, the percentage and the arithmetical means of the data were obtained and the data was interpreted. To reveal if physical education and sports academicians’ organizational stress and burnout levels differ according to demografic variables, Mann Whitney-U test and Kruskal Wallis-H test is estimated and Dunn test is used to find out groups that differ from others. As a result of the study, in general it was found that physical education and sports high school academicians have a high level of organizational stress and have a low level of burnout.
