Abstract :
Employees working in the product and service sector may be subject to stress depending on various factors, and organizational stress is one of the most important problems of working life. It can be uttered that the indi-viduals working in sports organizations work under pressure depending on many stress factors in business environment and they experience physical, psychological and social transitions because of this pressure. In this sense, the purpose of this study is to determine the organizational stress levels of the individuals working in different departments of Provin-cial Directorates of Sports and Youth Services. The research was conducted in 11 cities. In this regard, 5 Likert scale composed of 17 questions was applied to the participants. Data obtained were analyzed in Statistic 18 package program. Reliability analysis, frequency tables, descriptive statistics, factor analysis and Anova analysis were utilized within the analysis. As a result of the research, it has been concluded that the variables of age, sex, education and service period in the profession are effective in all of the sub-dimensions of the organizational stress scale; the variable of job definition is effective on the factors “the job requiring professionalism” and “fast and intensive working environment”. In conclusion, the organizational stress which is one of the most important problems of working life is perceived as a significant prob-lem in terms of both employees and organizations. In order for working life to gain speed in terms of efficiency and productivity and for employees to involve in general production safely and as motivated, this organizational stress should be reduced to minimum level.
