Abstract :
Mustafa Durak Bey was burn in Erzurum in the year 1876, he had seen the turbulence and grief of the ’93 War” and the throes of political and constitutional mess of the Second Monarchial Constitution period. He was punished because of joining the pro-activities of the Union and Progress, with the declaration of the Second Monarchial Constution, his generous contributions to the society was rewarded by his appointment to the Chief Deputy of Erzurum Police Department. Later on, he was appointed as the Chief of Bitlis, Ankara, Adana Police Departments and became the first Police Department General Chief Deputy of the Republican Era. Mustafa Kemal Pasha’s 19 March 1920 declaration he was repositioned on the front he was ordered to and became the Representative of Erzurum at the First Term Grand National Turkish Assembly. He did not wish to run for the Second Term and performed as the Mayor of Erzurum for the two consecutive terms. With the order-proposal of Ataturk, he re-appointed to the Parliament as the Representative of Gümühane at the Fifth Term. He was deceased in 1942 in Bursa and buried in Bursa Emir Sultan.
