Abstract :
This article aims to explain the role and significance Nevsehir and its vicinity had in the national struggle and to determine the reactions the people in Nevsehir displayed against the invasions throughout the country. Even though Nevsehir and its vicinity was not invaded, they did not remain silent in the wake of the English, French and Greek invasions. First they became organized by founding Associations for the Defence of Rights in the region. Then by means of these national associations they sent protest telegrams, signed initially by local authorities and prominent people in the community and some men of religion, to the representatives of invading forces, to the Congress of Deputies, to the grand viziership, and other relevant offices to condemn the invasions. In addition, a delegation representing Nevsehir was sent to the Sivas Congress
