THE MATTER OF LEADERSHIP IN NATIONAL STRUGGLE AND KÂZIM KARABEKĐR

The concept of leadership is one of the significant basic concepts in the whole political or social movements and it is a key role to achieve the goal in the political movements. Leadership ability is endowment mostly and it might improve in the some limitations through the education or something else. The matter of leadership is one of the issue discussed as continously both during the period of National Struggle and after. The matter about leadership was a big deal after Mustafa Kemal Pasha was deposed and resigned from military. By the way, the leadership of Kâzım Karabekir was came up as well. Mustafa Kemal Pasha, while he appropriate and worthy of all aspects of leadership himself, Karabekir is not eager to become leader and not agreed to be a leader. In the days before Erzurum Congress, during the meetings of the Heyet-i Faale, M. Kemal Pasha s leadership was decided definitively. Compared with the leadership abilities of M. Kemal and Karabekir, M. Kemal has more superior abilities . Karabekir, contrary to the claims of some circles of political history, not aspiring to leadership in the National Struggle and Leadership of M. Kemal Pasha accepted M. Kemal Pasha’s leadership from the beginning of it . Karabekir did not struggle to become a leader instead of Mustafa Kemal Pasha , but wanted to steer him by holding under his own control.
