Abstract :
The purpose of this research is investigating the effects and examining the football referees opinions, who are active in the 1st, 3rd, 6th, and 9th regions of Turkish Football Federation, Regarding professional and personal lives that affected by being referees during 2009 - 2010 football seasons. The research group consists of 189 classifying football referees who are active in the 1st, 3rd, 6th, and 9th regions during 2009 - 2010 football seasons. To achieve the purpose of the study Soccer Referee Social Situation Research Scale was used as a research tool developed by the researchers. A two-part questionnaire has been used as the data collection tool in this study. There are 8 questions for the judges personal information, and 33entries took place highlighting the problems that referees experienced in their professional and family life. The data obtained with the scale’s internal consistency coefficient (Cronbach’s alpha) has been investigated. Alpha coefficient was surveyed as 0.71. Opinions from referees who have participated in this research have been examined in various dimensions and their level of attendance to arguments in likert scale has been determined. According to the research results, it is considered that most of the referees can run refereeing and family life together without any trouble and refereeing has positive effects on their professional life. Moreover, individual referee training can contribute family and professional life positively.
