The purpose of this research is the scrutiny of ethical leadership behaviors that the school principals and the physical education teachers have exhibited. Within the scope of this study in this direction, “Ethical Leadership” (ELÖ) scale has been applied to three hundred nine physical education teachers in the cities of Ankara, Kırıkkale, Kırşehir, Mersin, Erzurum, and Batman. In process of data analysis, the descriptive statistics, T-test and Kruskal-Wallis H tests, Spearman rank correlation coefficients and Regression Analysis have been carried out. According to the findings acquired, once the opinions of the physical education teachers’ ethical leadership - oriented conducts exhibited by the school principals were scrutinized, it has been ascertained that the average points for ethical leadership scale and the average points for subdimensions of this scale were at a higher level. While the communicative ethics has received the highest score from the perspective of sub-dimensions of such scale absence of considerable difference among the average scores for other dimensions suggests that these four sub-dimensions – oriented opinions of the participants were close to each other. Once the outcomes of the survey were examined, in general, other dimensions are close to each other between the mean scores, in other words; the opinions of teacher regarding exhibition of the ethical principles – compliance behaviors by the administrators from the schools differentiate according to their ages. Nevertheless, based on whether or not they have previously got experienced in carrying out a managerial function, statistically a meaningful difference has been found among their opinions oriented towards if the school principals have exhibited ethical leadership attitudes.
