  • Abstract
    The aim of this study to examine the organizational commitment levels of Search and Rescue (AKUT) volunteers of in terms of some variables. 122 AKUT volunteers participated in the study. Organization Commitment Scale that was developed by Allen and Meyer was used. For the purpose of the study, two of the three sub-dimensions were used. SPSS.16 program was used for the analysis of the data. Percentage, frequency distributions were reflected. For different groups’ comparisons, the independent samples test was used. One-way ANOVA test was used for the groups more than two and Tukey Post Hoc test was used to determine the source of difference.For the general reliability and reliability of sub scales Cronbach’s Alpha coefficients was measured. Cronbach s alpha value of the scale was 0.76, subscale of emotional commitment was 0.74 and normative commitment subscale was 0.80. The AKUT volunteers’ levels of organizational commitment was found M=3.54. The AKUT volunteers’ levels of organizational commitment did not showed significant difference in terms of age, education, duration of being in organization, occupation, sex and marital status(p 0.05). As a further study, to enhance AKUT volunteers’ levels of organizational commitment, to design new studies in large samples in terms of correlations with other variables can be suggested.
