Abstract :
The present research was conducted with the purpose of comparing agility and visual reaction values of Turkish National Hearing Impaired Males’ Futsal Team with some variables. Data were collected from 16 male sportsmen from Turkish National Hearing-Impaired Futsal Team who participated in the last preparation camp of the 3rd European Futsal Championship of the Hearing Impaired organized in Switzerland. The experimental subjects consist of sportsmen who have at least 55 db hearing loss in both ears. Age mean of sportsmen who participated in the research was found to be 24,86 + 4.38. Newtest Reaction Timer 1/1000 was used as an electronic reaction chronograph for measuring visual reaction times of sportsmen against light. Finally, when hand and foot visual reaction times of sportsmen of the Turkish National Hearing-Impaired Futsal Team were examined; it was determined that there was not a difference among sportsmen in terms of dominant and nondominant hand and foot reaction times; when compared according to impairment status there was a statistically significant difference between sportsmen who do not hear at all and sportsmen who can hear with the hearing aid in favor of sportsmen who do not hear at all; and there was a statistically significant difference at agility level of both groups in favor of sportsmen who hear with the hearing aid.
