Abstract :
Legumes give good response to phosphorus fertilizer because they obtained required nitrogen via symbiotic way. Onthe other and, some problems such as increasing prices and environmental pollution related to chemical phosphorusfertilizer, increased interest in alternative and environmental friendly phosphorus resources. This study was carried outto determine the effects of phosphorus solubilizing bacteria (Bacillus megaterium M-3, 10-8 CFU ml-1), two differentdoses of poultry litter (0.3 t ha-1) and three different doses of phosphorus fertilizer (0, 50, 100 kg P O ha-1) treatments2 5on seed yield and yield components of Hungarian vetch. Experiments were carried out under irrigated conditions of Erzurum, between the years 2009 and 2010. Number of pods per plant 13.58, the number of branches 2.01, the number of seeds per pod 4.58, 1000-grain weight 32.93 and seed yield 1.59 t ha-1 was reported, respectively. According to these results, plus phosphorus solubilizing bacteria and 100 kg P O ha-1 and poultry litter may be recommended for2 5higher seed yields of Hungarian vetch for places such as Erzurum, a high altitude semiarid environment and in terms ofphosphorus poor or moderate.
