  • Abstract
Replantation is described as replacement of teeth partially or totally displaced from alveolar socket. The success of the treatment depends on the reason of displacement, replantation method, age of the patient, the status of the tooth and postoperative care. Generally, replantation due to traumatic avulsion can be used for esthetic correction as an alternative to dental implants and prosthetic treatments. By splinting, the tooth replaced in the socket hence natural esthetic is preserved. Being a quickaction procedure is a major advantage for this treatment. In this particular case the patients complained esthetic discomposure due dental extrusion, the tooth was extracted, alveolar cavity was prepared and tooth replanted. In this presentation replantation as an alternative approach to implantation is discussed.
