Abstract :
This study intends to analyze the perception of Malay students on non-verbal communication practices in second language learning classes at Higher Education Institutions that can help them master the four basic skills of the language. Basic language skills are listening, speaking, reading and writing. These skills are important to measure the mastery of the language. The second language in this study is the Arabic Language subject. Non-verbal communication is one of the communication method when delivering teaching. It generally occurs without using any pronouncements but refers to all sources that can give a message other than what is pronounced. Non-verbal communication is a process that completes the exchange of ideas and meanings among individuals without mention. The finding has shown that the mins obtained for respondents perceptions of non-verbal communication in Arabic language learning in Higher Education Institutions were moderate. The methodology used is descriptive statistical analysis, percentage, frequency, mean value and standard deviation.
