Abstract :
This research was conducted to determinate yield and some quality characters of green bean cultivar in experimental field at Agricultural Faculty of Selçuk University. In the study, totally eight commercial cultivars that 1-Nadide, 2-Massay, 3-Nova, 4-Gina, 5-Sarıkız, 6-Romano, 7-Bourgondia and 8-Goffora were used as plant material. In the study, there was statistically importance between yield and yield components. H The highest yield was taken from Sarıkız genotype (1551 kg/da) and Bourgandia genotype has the lowest yield (605 kg/da). Yield per plant and pod per plant had positive correlation with yield and Sarıkız had the highest amount however Bourgondia had the lowest in terms of that. While the highest fruit pulp thickness values was 7.9 mm, 7.8 and 7.6 mm as in Sarıkız, Bourgondia and Nadide, respectively, it was the lowest (6.7 mm) in Massay genotype. In terms of fruit average width, Romano had the highest value (15.3 mm) and Massay was the lowest value (13.9 mm). Nadide genotype had the highest value (7.5) seed per pod while Nova was the lowest value (6.7) in the parameter. Average pod lengths in the cultivars were not found statistically important.
