Abstract
In this study, appropriateness of the driver seats of the tractors, to the anthropometric measures of women working in rural areas of Ankara has been investigated. For this purpose, 10 different tractor models have been chosen as materials amongs the tractors that exist in Turkey. Measurement have been carried out on 100 female subjects in the region. Linear anthropometric measurements have been taken into consideration in order to compare the tractor seats measures with drivers dimensions. It was determined that most of the measures of the driver seats determined in the tractors were appropriate to the anthropometric measures of women in the region. Anthropometric dimensions of the female drivers have been compared with German women, and it has been observed that hand reaching length, reaching height, shoulder width, leg legth, leg thickness values are higher than that of German women.
