Abstract :
The aim of the study is to introduce broccoli, expanding the production and the determination of high yielding broccoli varieties that adaptable to Eskişehir ecological conditions. The experiments were conducted during 2008 and 2009 at the Eskisehir Osmangazi University Research Field of Agriculture Faculty. Six broccoli varieties (Agassi, Monopoly, Marathon, Roket, Tutku and Topeka) were used as crop material. The experiment was designed as randomized complete block with four replications. Primary shoot weight, primary shoot diameter and length, secondary shoot weight, secondary shoot diameter and length, number of secondary shoot, total secondary shoot per plant, primary shoot yield, secondary shoot yield and total yield were determined. Primary shoot weight varied from 547 (Marathon) to 678 g (Topeka), primary shoot diameter from 16.74 (Monopoly) to 19.72 cm (Topeka). Secondary shoot weight was found between 64 (Monopoly) and 135 g (Topeka). Primary shoot yield per decare was found between 1951 (Marathon) and 2419 kg (Topeka), secondary shoot yield per decare between 943 (Marathon) and 1849 kg (Topeka), total yield per decare between 2894 (Marathon) and 4267 kg (Topeka). Firstly, Topeka secondly, Tutku varieties which have high primary and secondary shoot yield were determined as advising cultivars in Eskişehir and the same regions.
