Abstract
This research was carried out to determine the effect of sowing densities on some yield and yield components in silage sorghum cultivars under Konya ecological conditions in 2005 and 2006 years. The research was designed according to a split plots in randomized block design with three replications. Row spacings (20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45 cm) were placed into main plots, and cultivars (Bovital, Rona, Jumbo and Bianca) were placed into subplots. Silage sorghum cultivars were tested in different row spacing and according to the results of two years of the research, it was determined that plant height between 83.2-155.5 cm, stem di-ameter between 5.97-9.95 mm, number of leaf between 6.28-7.87 pieces plant^-1, plant weight between 32.99-68.82 g plant^-1, leaf weight between 8.48-17.38 g plant^-1, stem weight between 22.90-55.43 g plant^-1, leaf ratio between 19.35-38.08 %, stem ratio between 61.92-80.65 %, green forage yield between 5356.5-13446. 4 kg da^-1, dry matter content between % 23.72-33.48 % and dry matter yields between 1433.7-3422.3 kg da^-1.
