Abstract :
This study was performed to evaluate the quality of irrigation water resources, salinity levels of farmlands, and recommendations for the problems relevant to those subjets in irrigation areas of Ankara-Haymana-Soğulca irrigation cooper-ative. In research, disturbed soil samples were taken from the 0-30, 30-60 and 60-90 cm soil depths by using auger hole technique in irrigated lands. Some physical and chemical contents of soils samples were determined. Water samples taken from the surface water resources regularly during the irrigation season were analyzed. The results showed that soils are clay textured, and lime content, Field Capacity, FC, Permanent Wilting Point, PWP, pH and EC values were found as 8.78%-33.50%, 26.9%-39.6%, 16.5%-22.9%, 6.27-8.02 and 648-1428μmhos/cm, respectively. Catioan Exchange Capacity, CEC, and Exchange-able Sodium Percentage, ESP, and boron content were determined as 12.26-17.26me/100gr, % 3.33%-22.71%, and 0.07-0.56 ppm, respectively. Water sam-ples taken in July showed that pH, EC and boron content were 6.99-7.98, 1217-1546 μmhos/cm and 0.12-0.72ppm, respectively. Water quality of small dam of Soğulca Town was classified as C3S1. Water samples taken in August showed that pH, EC and boron content were 6.90-7.94, 1217-1541μmhos/cm and 0.11-0.70 ppm, respectively. Water quality of small dam of Soğulca Town was clas-sified as C3S1. Water samples taken in September showed that pH, EC and boron content were 6.87-7.94, 1223-1539 μmhos/cm and 0.11-0.71 ppm, respectively. Water quality of small dam of Soğulca Town was classified as C3S1. Water sam-ples taken in October showed that pH, EC and boron content were 6.86-7.90, 1213-1512 μmhos/cm and 0.10-0.69 ppm, respectively. Water quality of small dam of Soğulca Town was classified as C3S1. In result, none differences were observed about quality and quantity of water samples during the periods July-October.
