Abstract :
The aim of this study, secondary school visual arts course authentic assessment approaches applied in the students the impact on attitudes towards and perceptions of this process is to investigate. The study was carried out research in the spring semester of the 2011-2012 academic year at Erzurum High School in Yakutiye Town of Erzurum. The study was carried out in experrimental model as for experiment design with pre-test- past test control group. Pre-test, post test group experimental design for detection of the effect of activities prepared for “Authentic Evaluation Approach” principles on the attitudes of students orienting to visual art lesson was used. In this study carried out for detection of perception of authentic evaluation processes of the students with the effect of the attitudes, visual art lesson attitude scale as data collection tool. In the study, Awerage and standart deviation of visual art lesson attitude scale scores were calculated, and t-test were used. The level of significance at p .05 was taken as. In the analyse, the level of study data was carried out by using SPSS statistic programme. As they were equal as regards desired variables, control and experiment groups weren’t subjected to co-variance analysis.There was significant distinction between post-test scores in favour of experiment group when pre-test scores taken from visual arts lesson attitude scale of control group in which traditional teaching was applied and experiment group in which teaching based on authentic evaluation approachment was applied were taken under control. Content analysis results carried on the answers which experiment group students gave for the evaluation of the process of teaching indicate thet they had impact on the persuation of authentic evaluation process of the students in experiment group.
