Abstract :
This research was carried out to determine whether the levels of general learning strategies of students of Selcuk University Sports Sciences Faculty differ according to some variables (gender, department, class, age). He created 1030 1st and 2nd Instructor students who are studying in the department of Physical Education and Sports Teacher Training, Sports Management, Coaching Education and Recreation Department of Selcuk University Sports Science Faculty in 2015-2016 spring semester of 2015-2016. The research was carried out on 808 students because it was tried to reach the whole of the universe but the students who did not have the application and the questionnaire was not applied to the students who did not want to participate in the questionnaire. The personal information form developed by the researchers and the General Learning Strategy Assessment Scale developed by Öztürk (1995) were used as the data collection tool in the research. The Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, in which the data showed normal distribution, was examined and as a result of this examination, the t-test was used for binary cluster comparisons; One-way ANOVA was used for three or more sets of comparisons. Tukey HSD multiple comparison test was used because the variances were homogeneous to determine the source of significant differences found in the ANOVA outcome. Significance level in the study was taken as 0.05. As a result of the research; The recall and recall strategies of the students according to the sex variable; The importance of attention, meaning, mental placement, recall and affective strategies according to the department variable they have studied; Class meaning, recall and affective strategies; According to the age variable, attention, meaning, mental placement, recall and affective strategies differed significantly.
