Contributions to the Âşık Ömer Divanı VII

Âşık Ömer is known as an important folk poet who lived in the 17th century. When his poems are examined, it is understood that he wrote poems not only in the style of folk poetry, but also with aruz which were at a level that would match divan poets. Âşık Ömer has not been the subject of research at the level he deserves in proportion to the artistic beauty of his poems and his reputation in the history of Turkish literature. The most comprehensive study of his poems has been conducted just about decade ago and 1455 poems were included in this study. These 1455 poems were brought together by comparing six copies of Âşık Ömer s diwan and scanning previously published poems. It is estimated that the poet s poetry was not limited to this, but exceeded two thousand. It is known by the experts of the field that it is possible to find poems of Âşık Ömer in almost every mecmua and cönk. After Yakup Karasoy and Orhan Yavuz published the Âşık Ömer Divanı in 2010, based on poems in cönk and mecmua, studies have been started to contribute to the Âşık Ömer Divanı. Accordingly, six studies have been conducted so far and a total of 148 new poems have been identified in these six studies. This article is the seventh of the works prepared as a contribution to the Âşık Ömer Divanı. In our study, two different mecmuas have been scanned. One of the mecmuas is registered in the National Library Abdullah Öztemiz collection with number 06 MİL YZ A 2623, and the other in Edirne Selimiye Manuscript Library with the number 22 Sel 2207/2. The mecmua in the National Library Abdullah Öztemiz collection has been read by us for the first time. On the other hand, a master study has been done on the mecmua in Edirne Selimiye Manuscript Library. The writing of this mecmua is extremely bad. In this master study, there are many misreadings in poems belonging to Âşık Ömer. Using the facsimile at the end of the thesis, poems with the Âşık Ömer record have been re-read by us. There are 70 poems belonging to Âşık Ömer in these two mecmuas. 47 of these 70 poems are present in the Âşık Ömer Divanı and 23 of them are not included. There are word level variants in common poems with the Âşık Ömer Divanı. In general, there are deficiencies in poems in the mecmuas. In the common poems, only a quatrain was not found in the Âşık Ömer Divanı has been identified.
