Quality of Life After Stroke

Several studies have shown that many strokesurvivors experience a decline in their Qualityof life (QOL) in terms of impaired physical, func-tional, psychological, and social health. Qualityof life is most often assessed by means of eitherstructured interviews or written questionnaires.Many questionnaires have been developedrecently for the evaluation of QOL in stroke andmany studies have been done on this subject. Inthis study QOL changes in stroke patients, theevaluation of QOL, the QOL measuring instru-ments and the results of clinical studies on the subject were discussed.
