On transition radiation

The problem of transition radiation has been revisited in terms of reflection and transmission of the radiation magnetic field based on Fresnelʹs formula. In contrast to the prediction made a half century ago, transition radiation does not vanish in the direction perpendicular to the charged particle trajectory (teta = pi/2).
