Abstract :
In this study, cytopathologic and histopathologic features of transmissible venereal tumor (TVT) and breast metastasis in 2,5 years aged female Kangal dog, 40 kg in weight, were described. Sheets of round cells with nuclear and cytoplasmic variations and intracytoplasmic vacuols were observed in histopathologic sections. Large, round shaped tumor cells with intracytoplasmic vacuols and eccentric nuclei were detected also in needle aspiration cytology prepared from metastatic lesion. Vincristine sulfate (Vincristine-Teva®, Teva, Netherlands) was used for the therapy in as 3 doses (0,025mg/body weight, once a week). It was shown that the mammary gland mass completely disappeared and the vaginal mass shrunk and it was noted that only clitoral region at the end of the therapy.
