Abstract :
This study was investigated the quality of pet clinicians services and their income by gender. A public survey was carried out in the province of Ankara in 2011 and survey data about 13 woman and 27 male clinicians were taken into consideration. Services for clinicians and their income; domain expertise, the use of diagnostic methods, vaccine administration and business services were divided into four categories for the analyses. For the total income of men and women was found not significantly different between the groups (P 0.05). In the study, women clinicians earned 16.4% lesser than that of men. Also, there were no statistically difference between woman and male clinicians with respect to the usage of laboratory analyses, ultrasonography and endoscopy methods. The rate of the woman clinicians using the radiological methods was 100 % and this rate was statistically different (P 0.05) from that of men, as an important outcome of this study. According to the results, it may be stated that; there was an unbalanced (more disadvantageous) situation that exists for women (against men) clinicans working in pet clinics and, as a consequence, it is certainly an unfavourable factor against the economical status of women.
