Abstract :
Acid dissociation of 2-mercapto benzothiozol (2HMBT) in L :oxane - water mixture at 25 °c was obtaned to be 8.3XI0 8 • stability constants of complexes fonned by (2HMB1) with Th4+,U02++and Pb++ ions were established .. Results otained indicated that the organic ligand behave as hard base according to pearson·s defination ,Hardness-softness parameters for ligand were calculated using Messono·s equation, the order of Ha1 dness could be arranged as follows: S203 2 r Br- phenol 2HMBT cr NHJ OH
