Photovoltaic (PV) Panels Which Are Used to Utilize Solar Energy Actively and Their Usage Forms on Buildings

In this study first of all, types of renewable energy sources and the necessity of their usage are explained. Afterwards, the importance of solar energy in renewable energy sources is emphasized and photovoltaic systems which have a significant role to utilize solar energy are examined. Components, materials, structures and types of photovoltaic systems are described. Forms of usage of photovoltaic systems in buildings are classified. These usage forms are expressed in depth with the figures. The advantages and disadvantages of usage of photovoltaic systems are articled and finally necessity of usage of these systems in buildings is stated.
