Abstract :
Job security, in the Turkish Labor Law, is one of the important rights against termination of contract for those who work in the status of worker. However, not all workers are under the protection of job security system. There are certain conditions. One of them is the condition to have at least six months seniority in the place of work. A worker who does not fulfill the demanded duration of seniority written in the law, will not be included in the application of law though the worker fullfills other criteria stated in the law. Certainly, this situation is a result of an obligation that all conditions must be met to have the right of job security. Yet, it is possible to suspend this condition if the parties agree.
