Abstract :
Sustained effort has been focused on pediatric palliative care in developed countries. Reports on this topic produced by the Institute of Medicine of The National Academy of Science in the United States and the World Health Organization identified significant areas where improvement was needed, in particular the need for more research and the development of new models of care.
