Abstract :
This study focused on 17 preschool students in a northern Jordan city. Preschoolerswere taught specific literacy skills in a small group instructional setting. The students’ skilllevel was assessed at the beginning and middle of the school year. The researcher’s goal wasto determine if teaching literacy skills in a small group setting would improve the skill levelof the preschool students. Results showed that using small groups was an effective way toincrease preschool students’ literacy skill levels.
